Still in Valdez May 28 Making the most of a washout day

It's a rainy day here in Valdez, but we got new raincoats before we left so we will put them to the test today. Actually looking forward to the museum and fish hatchery today. We can walk to the museum, but we need to drive to the hatchery. We might do that tomorrow on our way out. We decided to leave tomorrow to get to better weather. Gonna rain here tomorrow all day as well.

Walked over to the cutest, best smelling Coffee shop in Valdez and took a walk around the harbor.

Oh, by the way our raincoats have proven to be as advertised. Waterproof! However, my shoes not so much!

Today is a down and relax day. I have a book I started and I'm going to read and we are going out to dinner tonight. We can walk there as well. Right now I have a date with Charles Martin.

Visiting the Valdez Museum and learning about the pipeline, the 1962 earthquake tsunami and the Exxon Valdez spill.
On this rainy day Evan has chosen the living room, I'm in the dining room/kitchen and we are reading and enjoying the rainfall sounds on the roof of the camper.
Never thought I would see the day that my husband could not eat a pizza. We went out to dinner tonight and had THE worst pizza we have ever had. After all this is fish country not pizza. But honestly the pie had NO flavor. We had it boxed up and on the way back to the camper found a dumpster and chucked it in.

All is good though. We are getting ready to pull out. It's a tad bit warmer now then in the morning. It's 5:30 pm now and it stays light until 11 so we are out of Valdez.
Love you all! 💗💗💗OXOX
