Day 2 Quebec, Canada

Border crossing was simple. No trouble at all.

This is the hotel. with the black awning. Auberge Place D' Arms. It looks as if your going into a cafe or something. Up a few steps and you're in a tiny lobby. We met a lovely girl names Mode', like a-la- mode. Everyone here speaks to us in English, thankfully! The names of the streets and road signs are a bit confusing, but at least they drive on the same side of the road as we do.
Our room is so sweet.

From our room we can see part of part of Chateau Fontenac.
The area of old Quebec has old stone

buildings, cobblestone streets and quaint shops and tons of restaurants. I'm glad we will be here 2 days.
We walked and walked all around. This place is truly amazing with history. I just love learning about places. It rained most of the day but we did fine and did not let it bother us in the least. We easily walked 4 miles today.

This hotel is called fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. We will take a guided tour tomorrow to see the building. We usually don't go for touristy things, but this is going to be an exception. It is one of the most photographed castles in the world. And it is HUMONGOUS!

I'd say they have rather huge street lamps

And a great way to say goodnight to the city like no other.
The little sign says $2.75 a unit. Odd way to say the cost of a cookie!
NOTE:
In Canada I cannot receive or send any tests. Please feel free to text Evan's phone if you want to say hello to me! One more day in Quebec.

Love you all!

Oh those cookies look pretty good though! Yes, don't avoid the touristy things. They can give you a sense of culture and history which makes them very memorable.
